The Ontario Electricity Support Program is offered by the Ontario Energy Board to assist lower-income Ontarians in accessing affordable hydro. On May 1^st 2017, changes were made to this program that will result in more people being able to qualify for even higher reductions to their monthly electricity bills. The specific amount each household is eligible to save is determined by the number of people in the home and their combined annual income. Some people who have already signed up for this program are saving up to $68 per month!

In an attempt to take full advantage of these recent changes, Jason, our Community Worker co-op student, has been assisting some of our residents with the program’s online application.
