175 Hespeler Road (UPDATE!)
Things are moving along with our latest project at 175 Hespeler Road – despite the frigid winter.
“We’ve slowed somewhat due to the cold weather,” said Steve Garrison, General Manager at Housing Cambridge. “We’re taking this time now to focus on the inside work. This extreme cold, won’t last forever. It won’t be long before we resume the outside facade and brickwork.”
The 34 unit building is in the heart of Cambridge and directly on a major Grand River Transit route.
“The demand has been brisk,” said Rebecca Osmond, Maintenance Manager at Housing Cambridge, “We’re happy to help out in this much needed housing sector.”
Housing Cambridge would like to give an extra special shoutout to Tambro Ltd., general contractors on this project. They have gone above and beyond in keeping things on track despite mother nature throwing us a curveball.

Cant wait to finally move in. The move in date push backs were depressing to hear but it will be all worth it in the ling run. Id like to personally shake everyones hand that is responsible for this project. It means alot to us low income people you cant even imagine. See you all soon
I couldn’t wait to hand in my first and last month’s rent cheques for the office but now I finally did. I feel part of a community knowing that I have a unit listing in the building. Affordable housing helps reduce the rooming house chaos and provides needy individuals and families long-term accommodation and a place to call home!
