    2021 Post-Secondary Contribution

Each year Housing Cambridge invites residents who are pursuing post-secondary education to apply for a $1000.00 contribution toward the cost of tuition, textbooks, and other related expenses.  We do this to assist families in breaking the intergenerational cycle of poverty, and also to encourage higher learning for it’s own sake. When reviewing the applications, several factors are taken into consideration including community involvement and academic achievement.

This year’s winner is Brianna Zakrzewski, a young woman who will be attending Gagnon University in Erie, Pennsylvania on athletic and academic scholarships. She is pursuing a degree in Health Sciences with the goal of one day becoming a pediatric nurse in a children’s hospital. Brianna is an involved and committed member of her community, having accumulated more than 300 volunteer hours at St. Mary’s Hospital, an Easter Food Bank Drive and coaching youth soccer. We hope this contribution helps Brianna achieve the highest level of success in her academic pursuits. Congratulations, Brianna!
