Guitar Donation Brightens Seven Lives

Housing Cambridge was happy to facilitate the donation of seven guitars from Guitars for Kids.

Guitars for Kids was founded by Bob Egan, former Blue Rodeo, in collaboration with Cambridge Live Music, Queen Street Music School and Idea Exchange. The purpose of the program is to provide FREE used guitars for youth in need. The donation was facilitated by Brian Gardiner – Brian Gardiner Guitar Repair.

182 Queen Street was the recipient of such a thoughtful donation. We can tell that you there were seven very happy kids (aged 5 – 13) when we presented the instruments. They all were very much looking forward to honing their skills. We are now in the process of working with Hespeler Baptist church to find volunteers who can help further teach and enrich the lives of the recipients.

The program was so successful that we are looking for ways to extend it to other properties.
