Steve Garrison acknowledged for Outstanding Leadership

It was cause for celebration last week when Housing Cambridge General Manager, Steve Garrison accepted the Sybil Frenette Outstanding Leadership Award. The award was presented to Steve at the “2019 ONPHA Conference – Owning our Future” in Toronto, Ontario.

ONPHA’s Sybil Frenette Outstanding Leadership Award recognizes individuals whose energy and vision have furthered the cause of non-profit housing in Ontario.

These leaders have created a lasting legacy through significant contributions to their organizations, communities and Ontario’s non-profit housing sector, and have demonstrated vision, collaboration and commitment in their efforts to serve the needs of low-income individuals.

While there are many individuals in the province who would be worthy of such an award, we are thrilled to see Steve’s drive, dedication, compassion and leadership recognized in the non-profit housing sector.

During his remarks at the Gala, he called on the community housing sector to commit fully to efforts to end chronic homelessness in Ontario by 2025. “If we commit to this target and if we work together, the vision is within our grasp – a home for everyone,” said Steve.

Congratulations Steve on a well-deserved award! The Cambridge community is fortunate to have your vision and leadership. Thank you to Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association for their acknowledgement and appreciation.
