COVID-19 has disrupted many aspects of life for all of us. An unfortunate reality with this is that youth in our communities will not get to experience a typical summer-break year.

Luckily, we have amazing community organizations that are able to find creative ways around the barriers that we are facing. Because children aren’t able to participate in summer camps this year, the Greenway Chaplin Community Centre has created a camp experience that can be taken home and enjoyed in the comfort and safety of their own home.

These “Adventure Boxes” contain crafts, sports, and outdoor activities. They are designed for three weeks of fun. Housing Cambridge, in collaboration with Greenway Chaplin Community Centre, has acquired some of these Adventure Boxes to offer to families at 70 Elgin Street South. We hope that this allows our young residents some of the fun they deserve this summer. Thanks Greenway!
